My Instagram account can give off the impression that I'm a big eater, but I actually don't consume as much as I probably should. It's a source of frustration for my mother who has the kind of appetite that I can only hope for. I don't dislike eating, though! It's just that my stomach does not have the capacity that I wish it did. I like food and I like eating out so I try not to pass up on any opportunity to do so.
Ticket sales for Live Spectacle NARUTO's Singapore run started today. I can't go, but I have friends who can and will so I'm very excited for them!
If it's a relative's birthday and my mother is in town, there's a good chance that we're eating out. I suspect that it's a big part of why everyone likes having her around. Everybody loves to eat a lot and to eat a lot for free is always a good deal.
2.5-Dimensional musicals is a term commonly used to call musicals based on Japanese manga and animations. As manga and anime are in 2D and live theater is in 3D, the live theatre adaptation of manga and anime series are then given the label "2.5D". It's a cute label, albeit a highly inaccurate one considering the actual meaning of 2D and 3D.
Today we had lunch at a coffee shop in Jack's Ridge. Karlo's Gourmet & Coffee serves fancy coffee in the flavours of local specials such as durian, marang, and mangosteen. People are often surprised when I tell them I don't eat any of those fruits despite living in a place where it's abundant. I think durian is something you can eat only if you can get past the smell, and even then the texture isn't something everyone would love. I was just never able to acquire the taste for it.
When I was younger, birthdays were something to look forward to. I don't know when it started losing its magic for me. One day I just woke up to the realization that birthdays and Christmases and New Year celebrations feel just the same as any other day. I wonder if it's a sign of growing old.
About
As someone who gets too emotionally invested in fictional characters, I also enjoy doing the art thing and pretending to be good at writing amateur fiction. It is unfortunate that I don't get paid to write stuff on this blog but I sure wish I did.
