The Clean Plate

The Clean Plate by Twist stands out among the dining places in UP Town Center with its bright interior and homey furniture, like a rustic little diorama encased in glass. It's only fitting, since they boast of an all organic menua natural alternative to the not-so-healthy food offerings of the modern world.

Though healthy eating is not my thing (which would definitely bite me in the butt when I'm older, but, hey, you only live once!), I suppose it's nice to know these kinds of things. The Clean Plate is also rather proud that they sustain local farmers and their meat is from Bukidnon or something.

Pictured is the lemongrass iced tea. They also have a hibiscus-flavoured version, apparently.

I'm all for supporting homegrown products, of course. That's totally great! It's just that I actually live in the south, so I look at menu prices through the lenses of someone who is NOT from Manila... and I am on the opinion that The Clean Plate is really pricey relative to the serving size. Maybe healthy food is just pricey in general? I don't know. Like I said, I'm not a healthy living kind of person.

Their food is good, though! So if you're conscious of where your food is from and you've got money to burn, The Clean Plate should be a good treat.
