Filipino Food for The Traveling Soul

City folks would find Dumoy too far and it's definitely not where I would expect to find a restaurant. Jack's Ridge obviously has a different opinion on this because they opened their offshoot Lumad Native Restaurant at D'Garden in January of this year.

This place is not a restaurant you should absolutely definitely go out of your way to visit, as their menu offers not much that you cannot find at a restaurant in the city. However, it is by the highway so it's pretty convenient for travelers. If you're passing through anyway, do stop by to refuel your tummies.

All the dining areas are open so it can get very hot during the day. It's surprisingly windy at night, though.

They also have a small open cottage which can fit around fifteen or so. It's separate from the main dining area so you can reserve it for private parties, which is what we did for my grandparents' wedding anniversary.

We ordered more food than I was able to take pictures of, all of them were pretty good. Their pomelo salad seems to be always unavailable, but don't hesitate to try it if they happen to have it when you stop by.
