On Day 2 we headed back to Sentosa to celebrate my mom and my aunt's birthday at Universal Studios Singapore. The truth is I would like to spend my birthday in Tokyo Disney Sea, but I am in no position to make that happen and will never be, so the closest thing I could get is spending someone else's birthday here.
Since I don't really keep up with airline news or whatever, I don't know how I ended up finding out that there are direct flights from our city to Singapore. But this discovery somehow led to my mother deciding to spend her birthday to Singapore, so off we went with my aunt (who she shares a birthday with) and my cousin. As expected of a budget airline with limited flights, our plane was late and we arrived in our destination later than scheduled. When making itineraries, always take into consideration travel times and late planes!
Before heading off to Singapore we got to eat lunch at 1953 Kusina Leticia, a place my brother has been interested in for a while now. It's hard not to be intrigued. The building's exterior is very eye catching with its glass face and minimalist sign in front. Looking in, you can see its simple yet classy interior as well. For a place that sounds "old", it definitely looks very new.
Recently whenever we travel somewhere for a vacation, I am expected to plan the entire thing. It's not really too bad, especially if we're going to a place I'm generally interested in, but this also means if anything doesn't go according to plan, it's all going to be my fault too.
About
As someone who gets too emotionally invested in fictional characters, I also enjoy doing the art thing and pretending to be good at writing amateur fiction. It is unfortunate that I don't get paid to write stuff on this blog but I sure wish I did.
